2002-08-26 - 9:35 p.m. Talking- no one...pretending to be away Thinking- gosh dern-it i'm hungry. suzanne said we were ordering a pizza about an hour and a half ago, but has that happened...noooooo Listening- "hero" chad kroger...god i hate chad kroger and nickleback Good Lord it's been an interesting week. For all ten of you who read this (and mabye all 3 of you who care), I got my rear end out of Western Civ. I was advised by my new advisor, Dr. Malone, to get out of that class and into something else. The only class that would still fit in my schedule and still fulfill a requirement for graduation was "Study of Poetry" which just happened to be taught by my Freshman Year Seminar professor Dr. Johnston. I was able to get a hold of him Friday afternoon and asked him if there was any space availible in the class. I consider myself very, very lucky, because I got the very last spot in that class. I don't really understand poetry, but I figure I'd rather be there in a class format that I like (and where I would be more likely to learn) than over in Western Civ. with satan. The upside to this class is that a couple of music majors are in my class. The downside is that one of the music majors is mister personality himself, John...or as some of you might know him, "harry potter." I'm not sure what his problem is. His PMS is worse than mine. The next noteworthy thing I have to say is that I joined the opera workshop. I don't think I'll get a part...too many girls that are way better than I am and have much, much more expirience than I. Oooo. I saw "Signs" on Saturday with Brent, Amy, and Serina. I must thank Amy profuse for letting me sit next to Brent. I was a very happy woman. "Signs" is quite a scary movie, but there's some funny stuff too. You know if Mel Gibson gets scared, then you should be scared. Tommorow I'm going to a party for Mu Phi Epsilon (the music fraternity) at Van der Hoot's. No, her last name is not Van der Hoot, but we all call her that. I would like to take the time to point out that I have done more socializing in one week this semester than I did all last semester. Finally, before I go hunt down some food, I would like to wish Laura a very happy 19th Birthday. Soooo... HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURA! -emily
