Talking- no one...they're all on dates, at play practice, or at the Ludacris concert

Thinking- it sure is raining outside

Listening- open house party

Well hello there. I'm coming to you from Macon, Georgia in the middle of a tropicle storm...I'll expound on that later. Here's what's going on in my life lately.

MUSIC THEORY

Oh dear God I'm in trouble. I made a D on the first quiz of the year. Eeeks! Trust me when I say I was more than upset. I cried all the way through class. When a person who normally makes A's goes to making D's, something's wrong, and I don't think it's me. My theory teacher just doesn't know how to teach the subject. First, she totally skipped a couple of essential chapters in the book, meaning that the entire class started behind. I mean, she said she was willing to throw out this first quiz, but she also said she was grading liberally. I maybe deserved a C+ or a B...that I would have understood, but a D...good lord woman. I'm going to talk to her this week about the quiz and express my concerns to her, because for as hard as I work I don't deserve that grade.

TROPICLE STORM HANNA

Yes, that's right, there's a tropicle storm moving over the area right now. It's been raining cats and dogs out there. No fun at all. I've been soaked so many times today. I knew that there was a chance of rain, but being the idiot that I am, I wore a WHITE shirt out. Right when Steven, Suzanne, and I were about to leave Fudruckers, it starts pouring...and I'm not just talking about hard rain. The wind was blowing it sideways. I had an umbrella, but in yet another stroke of genius, I left it in the car (like it would have helped with the blowing rain anyway.)

DINNER AND A MOVIE

After eating lunch with Steven and Suzanne, we hopped across the street to the Amstar theater to see "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" with Brent, Tim, Stephanie, Rachel, Amy, and William. It was a funny movie, but my mother and aunt made it out to be funnier than it actually was, so I was a little let down, but it was still a very funny movie. After the show, we all went our seperate ways for a while and decided to reconvene at 6:15PM for dinner at El Sombrero. During this time, I helped Amy shop for a dress for PanDance. I'm not in a sorority, but she is, so she had to have a semi-formal dress to wear. We went to Dillards not once, but three times (!) before she finally settled on a black dress there. Interestingly enough, it was the exact same black dress I bought last year for the Homecoming Dance (it went from a formal to everyone wear black pants and sweater...how frustrating!). Amy was a fast shopper though...I must give her credit for that. We found a dress in under two hours, but now I understand what it must be like for my mother to go shopping with me...very tiring. Since Amy had to be back for play practice at 6:30, we booked it back after buying the dress (of course in the middle of a tropicle storm) and I met up most of the gang at the music building. I don't get to eat mexican food very often (momma doesn't like it that much, and if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!), so this was a special treat. It took forever to get our food, and I never got a refil on my iced tea, but the food was still good. When we got our check the waiter gave it to me because I had a difficult order. Ha ha...very funny. Well, he got tipped well anyway.

DINNER AND A MOVIE PART 2?

Supposedly, Brent is coming back over tonight at 10PM to watch "Queen of the Damned." I need to do some laundry, so I guess I'll just pop in and out. I never got out to Target today, so I guess I'll just do that after church tommorow.

MARY AND HER MAN FRIEND

Ooooo! Ooooo! Mary has a date tonight. You go girl!

LUDACRIS

No, I didn't see him. I don't go up to ATL for lessons anymore silly. Laura was going to see him in Knoxville. I'm very jealous, although if I did go to a Ludacris concert, I'd probably freak out. All that swearing and such would probably scare me. David is in ATL tonight at the John Mayer concert...although he's probably getting soaked. Coldplay is playing ATL tonight too! To top it all off, Ben Folds isn't playing an ATL show. The closest show is in Gainsville, and only a couple of my friends are into him, so I don't have anybody to go with. How much does it suck that I can't go to these concerts? Well, Emily, look on the positive side...at least you don't live in Stadium Drive. **Throws head back and cackles** Ha Ha Amy...sorry...I just couldn't help myself. Stadium Drive isn't that bad...which (somehow) brings me to...

FALLING BEDS

Apparently, the some of the beds they put in Mercer Hall, Garden Apts, and Stadium Drive were faulty. They actually broke and fell down while people were in them, so Res Life had to come through and inspect the beds. This will all hunky-doory until the inspectors forgot to lock the deadbolt to our door, leaving our suite prone to a break-in. Stacie was not happy. She called Res Life and chewed them out about it. You go girl! I was also upset because they messed up my bed. It was all nice and pretty and then they messed it up. Grrr!

THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE ABOVE ME

Last night I called Merpo on them. They were just being way too loud, even if it was a Friday night. Just because it's not a school night doesn't mean we're all staying up. I want to be able to appreciate all music, but I just can't deal with them playing the bongo drums at 3AM. Not cool people...not cool at all. I look very ugly when I'm tired.

Is that all I have to say? I guess so. I'm probably forgetting something, but I don't know what that would be. Well, I guess I'll spend a fun Saturday night doing laundry and homework. I'm having way too much fun. I'll leave you with a quote I got from Laura's Aim profile:

"Life is not a garden. Don't be a ho."
