Hey kids. Sorry it's been so long since I've updated, but I'm a busy girl. People want and desire me constantly...okay that's a lie, but I have been really busy. School just takes a lot of time, and sometimes I think that's its only purpose. As far as school goes, I guess I'm doing okay. We just got past midterm, so now I'm on the home stretch to the end of the year. Yes! In the meantime, I'll try to keep you entertained with the random details of my life. So what exactly has happened since I last talked to you...

The Georgia State Fair: MKB and I went to the fair down in Perry. I bought a custom belt with butterflies on it and my name is across the back part of the belt. Fun stuff. We ended up stalking, or at least passing, the credit card guy a few booths down from the belt and hat booth. He was hot. After the fair we stood out by the cars and watched the fireworks, which were quite entertaining because they set off a bunch of car alarms. After we got back to Macon our hott neighbor started banging on our door. It was his 27th birthday and he was drunk. He just wanted to tell us if he got too loud...although I'm pretty sure he doesn't remember meeting us. Oh well.

The Beach (Fall Break): The day after we went to the fair I met up with mom and her crazy teacher-friend Randy and went to Tybee Island for a little R and R. I needed it so badly! The only thing that sucks about going to Tybee Island is that it's on the GA coast, which meant I got to make the boring 2+ hour drive down I-16 to Savannah. There are like two exits that have stuff at them and it's such a boring drive! But generally the beach was fun. My mom and I managed to find some really cool shells.

The only problem with the beach was that I did something to my foot. It still hurts, but not so much as it did on Tuesday when I drove back. I think I solved some of the problem by walking more on my instop and towards the back of my heel. That's probably not too good for me either though.

Mercer Singers Concert in ATL: Party up in ATL...no, I think not. First off, we had Danny from Thriller Travel driving us again. We drove up to ATL on Friday after class to go schmooze with and sing for all the rich people that donate money to Mercer. We got stuck in pretty back traffic right around Locust Grove, but it all dispersed by the we got to the airport area. By far one of the funniest things I've ever heard was Dr. Goff squealing at all the pretty houses on West Paces Ferry. As we passed mansion after mansion, Dr. Goff would make this high pitched little noise after she saw a house she liked. This is just another reason why CG cracks me up so much! Once we got to the Atlanta History Center, I only schmoozed with one person, but that's mainly because it seemed that none of the rich people wanted to schmooze with the lowely singers. The formed up their own little conversation cliques and pretty much kept to themselves. Dinner that night was really nice. I had what might have been the most perfect beef tenderloin EVER! Mmmm...so good. After we sang we changed quickly and got back out to the bus only to discover it was on but locked. We sat outside for 15 minutes before we discovered that Danny had been "asleep" on the bus. We had to bang on the door for another five minutes after that to get him to open the door up. Once we got on the bus I could smell smoke and air fresheners, which led me to the conclusion that Danny was high, like he was so much of the time we were in Savannah. Unfortunately Dr. Roberts wasn't on the bus ride back with us to the MACONGA, so Danny started acting up. He was trying to navigate some pretty narrow streets while talking on his cell, so Jamie went up to him and said he didn't appreciate him trying to drive the bus while on his cell phone. Danny said some not so nice things back to Jamie. Complaint! A lot of us complained about Danny after the Savannah trip, and I'm sure there will be a few more after this trip.

Well, that's about all that's been going on in my life. Generally drama and pot heads. Until next time...

love emily
